Healthcare Improvement Scotland Launch Pledge Trees

It was our pleasure to be invited by, the Focus on Dementia Team at Healthcare Improvement Scotland, to launch two pledge trees on 8th September.  One in Glasgow and another in Edinburgh.  Tommy and Laura visited both offices starting at the Glasgow branch in the morning then through to Edinburgh for the afternoon session.

The Focus on Dementia teams will displaying the pledge trees in the staff rooms at Healthcare Improvement Scotland encouraging and supporting colleagues to make a pledge to make a difference over September, World Alzheimer’s Awareness Month #WAM2017.  The day reflected on Healthcare Improvement Scotland`s values, which are:

  • Care and compassion;
  • Dignity and respect;
  • Openness, honesty and responsibility;
  • Quality and teamwork.

You can now view Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s strategy for supporting better care in Scotland: 2017–2022, which was published last week.

Special thanks to The Focus on Dementia team, Michelle, Jane, Lynn, Julie, Holly and Tom to name a few for inviting Dementia Carer Voices to give two #makeadifference sessions.  Thanks to all of you for your continued support and look forward to watching the pledge trees grow.

We anticipate a return visit soon to read, in more detail, the wonderful pledges staff have made and support turning pledges into actions.
