We are pleased to announce that Project Engagement Lead Tommy Whitelaw will be speaking on the 21st June alongside Shaun Maher, Strategic Advisor for Person-Centred Care and Improvement at Scottish Government, in Belfast!
Tommy will speak about his experiences of caring for his late mum Joan Whitelaw, and how every one can has a part to play in making a difference to a person with dementia and their carers, no matter what their role!
Shaun Maher said ‘I’m looking forward to working with Tommy in this exciting opportunity to connect with people working in social care in Northern Ireland. I’m sure that Tommy and Joan’s story and the amazing work that has happened on the back of it, especially the ten thousand pledges from health and care workers all over the UK, will prove to be a great introduction to a dialogue about how we can sustain and spread the things that are working well and improve those that aren’t’
The day is set to be very person centered, focusing on the 5 must dos and asking people what matters to them!
